David W. Gearhart and Sarah E. Mullen Named to Missouri’s 2024 POWER List in Immigration Law by Missouri Lawyers Media
January 10, 2024Lewis Rice members David W. Gearhart and Sarah E. Mullen were named to Missouri Lawyers Media's POWER List in Immigration Law. The POWER List is a regular feature examining the most powerful attorneys in immigration law. Selections were made based on attorney interviews and records of verdicts and settlements. The list includes attorneys who navigate this complex system on behalf of individuals and clients, handling H-1Bs and I-9s, processing DACA and VAWA applications, and applying for various types of visas. They maintain bilingual websites and often speak the languages of the clients they serve.

David W. Gearhart is the lead attorney of the Firm's Immigration Practice Group. He specializes in counseling businesses and individuals with respect to immigration-related matters including temporary/permanent work visas; permanent residence based on family relationships; citizenship; J-1 visa waivers; securing student and visitor visas, maintenance of status issues, and U.S. entry issues. During Dave's more than 20-year tenure, Firm clients (and related workers) have experienced an astounding success rate exceeding 99% on immigration filings with USCIS and DOS and in successfully clearing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) (including pursuing national interest waivers due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
Sarah E. Mullen has a thriving immigration practice. She is part of a successful team of lawyers at Lewis Rice who together bring a depth of knowledge to the complex and ever-changing practice of immigration law. Sarah assists businesses in securing H-1B temporary work visas and green cards for intending immigrant employees. She also works with individual clients in obtaining permanent residence based on marriage or family relationships, and in securing United States citizenship. Underscoring her commitment to her immigration practice, and those in need of community support, Sarah is a Board Member of the Migrant and Immigrant Community Action Project, and she is a member of the Advisory Board of the Chiapas Photography Project. Sarah is also fluent in Spanish.
