Lewis Rice Participates in ABA Forum on Construction Law 2023 Construction Law Foundations

Lewis Rice members Jeremy P. Brummond and Patrick J. Thornton participated in the ABA Forum on Construction Law 2023 regional program entitled Construction Law Foundations on November 2-3, 2023. The program was the first time the ABA Forum on Construction Law was in the St. Louis area. Jeremy served as regional liaison for the program and spoke on issues pertaining to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes of work. Patrick presented on construction insurance and bonding.

Jeremy focuses his practice on construction and engineering. Clients include property owners, engineers, general contractors, specialty contractors, and equipment suppliers. Jeremy counsels clients in contract negotiation and drafting, and he frequently represents such clients in construction-related litigation including cases involving claimed construction defects, delay and lost productivity, and mechanic's lien and payment bond claims.

Patrick practices primarily in the area of construction law. He represents all types of entities in the construction industry, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and others. Patrick represents clients both large and small—private companies, municipalities, homeowners associations, small businesses, and individuals. His practice includes both transactional and dispute resolution matters.
