Jerina D. Phillips Honored at 2018 Women’s Justice Awards

On Thursday, May 3, Lewis Rice associate Jerina D. Phillips received the Litigation Practitioner Award at the Women's Justice Awards. Missouri Lawyers Media's 20th annual Women's Justice Awards celebrated the contributions of women in the legal profession. The ceremony honored 51 women, including judges, in-house counsel, legal scholars, and private practitioners from around the state, as well as outstanding students at Missouri law schools. The Litigation Practitioner Award goes to excellent women attorneys who have made their careers in the courtroom.

Jerina advises clients on matters relating to commercial and civil litigation and labor & employment. She has an extensive background clerking and interning in federal and state court systems as well as several legal organizations in the state of Missouri. Jerina is considerably involved in her community, serving on various boards, including the Greater East St. Louis Community Fundy and the Jackie Joyner Kersee Foundation. She is also a middle school tutor and volunteer for the Mound City Bar Association's Adopt-a-School program, among others.
