Lewis Rice was pleased to welcome undergraduate students, Krystina Bell and Madeline Littleton, through its LawBridge Internship Program. Designed for undergraduate students interested in pursuing legal careers, the program provides meaningful opportunities to work alongside and connect with attorneys and professionals across the Firm while gaining firsthand exposure to the daily practice of law.
Krystina has now spent two summers in the LawBridge Program. An Honors student and rising junior at North Carolina A&T State University, she has continued to build on the foundation she established during her first summer at Lewis Rice. Reflecting on her experience, Krystina shared how the program has shaped her perspective and career aspirations: “My second summer at Lewis Rice has given me the opportunity to build on what I learned last year and gain a deeper understanding of legal practice. The experience has strengthened my confidence and reinforced my interest in pursuing a career in law.”
Madeline is a rising sophomore at Howard University, where her academic interests and leadership experiences have focused on public service and the judicial system. Reflecting on her internship, Madeline shared: “My time at Lewis Rice reinforced my desire to pursue a career in law. Attending court with Lewis Rice Chairman Richard B. Walsh Jr. provided valuable insight into the legal system and working with Member Jerina D. Phillips was especially inspiring. This experience strengthened my goal of attending law school and broadened my perspective on opportunities in St. Louis.”
The Lewis Rice LawBridge Internship Program is designed to guide students toward careers in the legal profession and encourage early exploration of the many opportunities the field has to offer. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive pipeline into the legal field and making a career in law more accessible to all.
