Lewis Rice has been honored by the Washington University School of Law Black Law Students Association (BLSA) with its Firm Diversity Award, recognizing the firm’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession.
The award highlights Lewis Rice’s support of initiatives that promote opportunity, representation, and access within the legal community. The firm was recognized at WashU Law BLSA's 33rd Scholarship Banquet.
“This recognition from WashU Law BLSA reflects the importance of showing up for students through mentorship, access, and meaningful engagement,” said Ronald A. Norwood, Lewis Rice member and Chair of the firm’s DEI Committee. “We are proud to support efforts that help broaden pathways into the legal profession and look forward to continuing that work.”
Lewis Rice has always been, and will continue to be, a firm that values diversity. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive work environment, where individuals are rewarded based on talent and performance, regardless of race, gender, age, handicap, religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation. This approach allows us the ability to provide our clients with the most comprehensive legal representation possible. The visionary perspectives upon which our founders built our Firm led to the forward-thinking, stable, and successful law firm we enjoy today.
