Lewis Rice attorneys David W. Sweeney and Ryan M. Prisock represented Brew Crew LLC in connection with the development of a new 7 Brew Coffee location at 1232 Hampton Ave., near Interstate 64 in the City of St. Louis’ Cheltenham neighborhood. The project will be the second 7 Brew location in the city of St. Louis. Brew Crew appealed the City of St. Louis building commissioner’s denial of a building permit based on zoning standards. On March 18, 2026 the City of St. Louis Board of Adjustment voted unanimously in favor of the appeal, clearing the way for the project to proceed. Although the proposal faced opposition from a neighborhood association, it received strong support from Alderman Bret Narayan. Brew Crew, one of 7 Brew’s largest franchisees, operates 154 locations across 14 states and plans to open 80 additional stores within the next year. Founded in Arkansas in 2017, 7 Brew has grown to more than 600 locations across 38 states, including 280 opened last year. To read the full article, click under "Resources" below.
