Biography

A member of the real estate practice group, Andrea G. Bough’s experience in economic development, land use, planning, zoning, and subdivision regulations allows her to represent clients on complex redevelopment projects at the state and local levels. Andrea has appeared before city councils, planning commissions, zoning boards and other agencies in Missouri and Kansas and has previously served as special counsel for zoning boards and planning commissions for Kansas municipalities. In addition to her development and land use practice, Andrea also represents clients in purchase and sale contracts and commercial leases.

Andrea previously served as special zoning counsel for the City of Fairway, KS Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission, legal counsel for the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Planning Commission for the City of Mission Hills, KS, and legal counsel for the Planning Commission for the City of Roeland Park, KS.

Andrea currently serves on the Kansas City, Missouri City Council, where she is Vice-Chair of the Neighborhood, Planning & Development Committee and a member of the Special Committee on Legal Review. In addition to her role on the Council, she serves as the Mayor’s appointee on the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority, the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board and the Kansas City Health Care Trust & Workers’ Compensation Board.
