Simeon J. Brown, Associate

Simeon J. Brown is an associate practicing in the Corporate Department of Lewis Rice, with a primary focus on banking and finance. Prior to joining Lewis Rice, Simeon practiced at a large Intermountain West law firm representing clients across a wide range of transactions in commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations and reorganizations, equity raises, and other general corporate matters. His banking and finance experience includes representing bank and non-bank lenders and borrowers across the full scope of debt finance in both syndicated and single lender loan facilities, including asset-based loans, acquisition finance, construction loans, energy and project finance, and fund finance and subscription lines. Simeon also has substantial experience representing lenders and debtors in workouts, bankruptcies, and general financial distress and foreclosure matters. In addition to his transaction work, Simeon advises clients on corporate governance, diligence, and compliance matters while serving as general outside corporate counsel for various institutions.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Simeon had a career in technical sales, working with clients across industries such as industrial and electrical distribution, food processing, energy, transportation, heavy manufacturing, mining and oil and gas, pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospitals, and military and government. This experience gave him a unique perspective, enabling him to address not only the legal implications of his clients' challenges but also their broader business impact.

Outside of work, Simeon is a proud St. Louisan and passionate about the region’s success. He enjoys college sports, cheering for the Mizzou Tigers, and spends his free time with his wife and three children and volunteering at his local church.
