HSSU Scholarship Recipients Visit Freedom Suits Memorial in St. Louis

Lewis Rice Harris-Stowe State University student scholarship recipients Louis Hill and Ebony Carter visit the Freedom Suits Memorial ahead of the unveiling ceremony scheduled for Monday, June 20, 2022. Lewis Rice is proud to have supported the effort to build this memorial, which honors the hundreds of slaves who fought for their freedom in the St. Louis courts in 1857, before the start of the Civil War.
