Biography

Rachel P. Kent is an associate in the Corporate Department of Lewis Rice. Her practice focuses on general business and transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions, startups, entity creation, and real estate matters. Rachel also has experience in many aspects of tax planning for partnerships, LLCs, and corporations, including business and succession planning. She routinely advises on tax controversy matters, including preparing offer in comprise (OIC), penalty abatement, and collection due process procedures.

Prior to law school, Rachel worked as a student extern for the IRS in the Office of Chief Counsel in St. Louis, where she inspected audit reports and evaluated tax issues. Additionally, Rachel served as student legal intern at Washington University in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. She is fluent in Spanish (full professional proficiency).
