Patrick J. Thornton Joins Missouri Bar Leadership Academy

Patrick J. Thornton has been chosen for the 2014-2015 Missouri Bar Leadership Academy. He is one of 12 lawyers throughout the state selected for the program, now in its 15th year. The mission of the Leadership Academy is to recruit, train, and retain Missouri attorneys who are under age 40 or who have been admitted for 10 years or less for leadership positions in The Missouri Bar. Members of the Leadership Academy represent a diversity of ethnicity, culture, gender, and region within the state.

Patrick practices primarily in the areas of construction and environmental law, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. He prosecutes and defends matters involving insurance coverage disputes, mechanic's liens, breaches of contract, and numerous tort theories. Patrick represents clients of many sizes including individuals, small businesses, limited partnerships, condominium and homeowners associations, municipalities, and large private companies. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, in political science from the University of Notre Dame.
