Winthrop B. “Win” Reed, III and YMCA Celebrate Opening of New Adaptive Sports Complex

Win Reed (white hat) and members from the St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care, the Gateway Region YMCA, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League celebrate the grand opening of the YMCA Adaptive Sports Complex.

Lewis Rice member and Boniface Foundation Chairman Winthrop B. ("Win") Reed, III celebrated the grand opening of a new YMCA Adaptive Sports Complex alongside members from the St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care, the Gateway Region YMCA, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League. Located on the campus of the South County YMCA, the state-of-the-art facility, featuring the Paul Goldschmidt Field, is designed for athletes of all abilities.

The Boniface Foundation supports charitable and educational activities that promote health and well-being in St. Louis counties and city. It aims to support projects that enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities.

At the event, Win said, “We are so excited to make this investment in support of the Gateway Region YMCA’s service to the adaptive community.” He emphasized the importance of adaptive sports programs, stating, “Adaptive sports programs have a significant impact on the well-being of youth with disabilities, and this amazing new facility will help ensure these youth are able to learn, grow, and thrive for years to come.”
