Ronald A. Norwood Keynote Speaker at Lloyd Gaines Banquet at Mizzou Law

The Black Law Student Association (BLSA) at University of Missouri – Columbia invited Lewis Rice litigation partner Ronald Norwood to be the keynote speaker at the organization's 30th Anniversary Lloyd Gaines Banquet on February 6, 2016. The Lloyd Gaines Banquet serves to celebrate Lloyd L. Gaines' impact on achieving equality in the legal profession for African Americans and especially at the University of Missouri School of Law. Ron delivered an inspiring talk about the progress the School of Law has made since 1935 when Lloyd Gaines challenged the Law School's admission policy, which rejected Gaines solely on the basis of race, to the positive opportunities the Law School presents to African American students today. Ron is a 1986 honors graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law and served as BLSA President during his time there.
