Lewis Rice member Ronald A. Norwood received the Medgar Wiley Evers Legal Advocacy Award from St. Louis County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) at its annual Freedom Fund Leadership Dinner on Thursday, June 22. More than 1,200 community leaders came together to celebrate the organization's achievements and highlight the contributions of those advocates supporting diversity and inclusion, social justice, and the advancement of civil rights in Missouri. Congresswoman Maxine Waters of the U.S. House of Representatives was the keynote speaker at the Dinner.

As Chairman of the Firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Ron is intently focused on diversity within Lewis Rice and the community, and he believes that everyone benefits when there is a diversity of thought, culture, perspectives, interests, backgrounds, and experiences in the workplace. His wide-ranging practice includes representing national and regional banks, mortgage companies, and other financial institutions in a myriad of commercial and tort litigation matters. Ron also represents health insurers, health maintenance organizations, and health care providers in health care litigation disputes.
