Ronald A. Norwood Delivers Commencement Speech for Harris-Stowe State University

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Lewis Rice member Ronald A. Norwood delivered the commencement speech for Harris-Stowe State University's (HSSU's) virtual graduation ceremony. Ron serves as HSSU Board Chair and congratulated the graduates for their great achievement in the midst of a global pandemic. Ron informed graduates that, “Despite COVID-19, classroom interruptions, and stay-at-home orders, and despite living and studying through one of the greatest challenges that any generation has ever confronted, you pressed on, you persevered, and you have prevailed.”

As Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Lewis Rice, Ron is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within Lewis Rice as well as within the community. In 2014, Ron was appointed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to serve on the Harris-Stowe State University Board of Regents, and was voted in as Board Chairman in 2015. His wide-ranging legal practice includes representing national and regional banks, mortgage companies, and other financial institutions in a myriad of commercial and tort litigation matters.
