Lewis Rice Announces Andrea M. Patton as Chair of Associate Development Committee

Lewis Rice has named member Andrea M. (Andie) Patton chair of the firm’s Associate Development Committee. Comprised of Lewis Rice attorneys in various practice areas, the Associate Development Committee creates and provides in-house training and mentorship for associates and facilitates camaraderie within the firm by planning social events and activities.

“Andie is a respected attorney and highly-valued member of our firm. Her commitment to developing future talent is demonstrated in her years of service to both the Associate Development and Recruiting Committees, said Richard B. Walsh, Jr., chairman of Lewis Rice. “Providing in-house training and mentorship for associates is an incredibly important function at our firm, and I look forward to seeing how Andie will advance the efforts of the committee.”

One of Andie's goals is to create more customized, long-form training for new attorneys that would include a toolkit of resources they can use in their practice. She also wants to organize more in-person mentorship and observational opportunities as well as social gatherings so attorneys can get to know one another better.

“I have always valued developing relationships with attorneys at all levels at Lewis Rice,” Andie said. “In addition to personally enjoying it, I believe it is essential for creating a workplace environment where our attorneys want to stay as they develop in their careers.”

After receiving her bachelor's degree in political science and women, gender and sexuality studies from Washington University in St. Louis, Andie obtained her juris doctor degree from the University of Chicago School of Law in Chicago.

Andie practices in the firm’s Corporate Department and works on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and restructuring, regulatory compliance (primarily in alcohol distribution law), commercial real estate transactions, and corporate and commercial contract issues. She is also a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.
