Jerina D. Phillips Selected for 2020-2021 Leadership 100 Cohort with St. Louis Regional Business Council

Lewis Rice is proud to announce that member Jerina D. Phillips was selected for the 2020-2021 Leadership 100 Cohort within the Young Professionals Network (YPN) of the St. Louis Regional Business Council (RBC).

"I was honored to be chosen to participate in this year's Leadership 100 cohort," said Phillips. "I appreciate the service and development opportunities it presents. I look forward to engaging with the YPN's network of diverse business leaders to learn, grow, and give back to our community."

The YPN was established in 2008 to attract, retain, develop, and engage diverse young professionals in St. Louis. Membership in the YPN helps young professionals develop leadership skills, cultivate social and business networks, and give back to the community. Applicants are chosen by the YPN Selection Committee based on their demonstrated leadership and service to the community. Jerina is one of 29 distinguished young professionals to be chosen for the cohort.

"We are proud to support Jerina as she joins the YPN to grow her professional network and build upon her already impressive set of leadership skills," said John J. Riffle, RBC member and Chairman of the Corporate Department at Lewis Rice. "I know she will add tremendous value to the cohort. Jerina will be inducted in the Leadership 100 2020-2021 Cohort during the Virtual Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. Michael P. McMillan, President & CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, will speak at the virtual event.

Jerina maintains a wide-ranging litigation practice representing individuals and companies in a variety of disputes, including complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, media and communications law, and consumer litigation. She has successfully represented companies in defending against a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and claims brought under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by individuals and as class actions. Additionally, Jerina has significant experience defending employers in all types of employment matters, as well as representing clients in a variety of First Amendment issues.
