Jerina D. Phillips Joins Panel Celebrating Black Women in Law
May 13, 2025Lewis Rice member Jerina D. Phillips, a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, participated as a panelist at the school’s Black Law Students Association's second annual Black Women in Law Brunch on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The event brought together students and legal professionals for an afternoon of discussion, networking, and celebration of Black women in the legal field. Panelists included SLU Law Dean Twinette Johnson, Dean Kathryn Banks, and Nandi Person.
As a SLU Law alumna, Jerina shared insights on the legal profession and the challenges Black women can face, offering encouragement and perspective to students preparing to enter the field.
Jerina is the Vice Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. She maintains a wide-ranging litigation practice representing individuals and companies in a variety of disputes, including complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, media and communications law and consumer litigation.
