Elizabeth J. Schlesinger Receives 2013 Up and Coming Lawyers Award

Missouri Lawyers Weekly has selected Elizabeth J. Schlesinger as a recipient of the 2013 Up & Coming Lawyers Award. Recipients will be honored at a ceremony on September 13 at the Chase Park Plaza.

The award honors attorneys who are in the first 10 years of their legal career or under the age of 40. Judges selected 48 winners from more than 170 nominations based on community involvement, accomplishments in their career and academia, and their potential impact on the profession, legal system, and community.

Elizabeth is an associate in the Estate Planning and Probate Department. She has experience establishing business entities and overseeing the administration of irrevocable trusts, estates, and probate. She also drafts business succession documents, private loan and refinance documents, and basic real estate documents including private leases and various deeds. While attending law school at Washington University in St. Louis, Elizabeth received the Dean's Book Award and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She also served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Policy.
