David W. Sweeney Selected by FOCUS St. Louis for 2018-2019 Leadership St. Louis Class
June 12, 2018Lewis Rice is pleased to share that member David W. Sweeney was selected for FOCUS St. Louis' Leadership St. Louis (LSL) Class of 2018-2019. LSL selects established and emerging leaders who are committed to improving the St. Louis region. It is a 9-month program in which participants unravel issues such as economic development, racial equity, education, poverty, social services, arts and culture, and the criminal justice system. LSL was established more than 40 years ago and boasts more than 2,000 graduates.
David focuses his practice on lobbying, governmental and finance matters; municipal and public law; government affairs; zoning, land use, tax increment financing, community improvement districts, and other development incentives. His experience ranges from drafting and overseeing implementation of legislation regarding tax increment financing, community improvement districts, special business districts, transportation development districts, and property tax abatements to representation of governmental entities in a variety of real estate development and finance matters.
