TuckerAllen: Subsidiary Law Firm Dedicated Solely to Estate Planning

TuckerAllen, a new law firm created and wholly-owned by St. Louis-based Lewis Rice, will open its doors on September 6, 2016. The new law firm will offer personalized estate planning services at four conveniently located area offices – Kirkwood, O'Fallon, and Town & Country, Missouri and Fairview Heights, Illinois. We invite you to learn more about TuckerAllen by visiting: www.tuckerallen.com

Bearing the names of two of Lewis Rice's founders, TuckerAllen will bring the estate planning reputation of its parent firm – a regional law firm with more than 160 attorneys – to the typical American family via a specialized business model that emphasizes personalized service from experienced and highly trained attorneys at affordable and fixed fees.

"We looked around at the estate planning marketplace and asked ourselves why over half of all American adults do not have a will or trust," said Thomas Erb, the Chairman of both Lewis Rice and TuckerAllen. "That's really a remarkable statistic considering the confusion and burdens that not having an estate plan thrusts upon grieving family members. We think the reason for this unfortunate statistic lies in two barriers – accessibility and cost. TuckerAllen has been built to break down both of those barriers."

"Our focus will be squarely on delivering a superior client experience. We know that, from a technical legal standpoint, we will be providing top quality estate plans – that's a given," Erb said. "Our objective is to make the process as simple, straightforward, and affordable as possible for our clients."

TuckerAllen will offer free initial consultations and two all-inclusive estate plan packages: a Will Package priced at $550 for an individual or $650 for a married couple, and a Trust Package priced at $950 for an individual or $1250 for a married couple. Both packages will include living wills, healthcare declarations, financial powers of attorney and a beneficiary deed to the client's home. The Trust Package, in addition to revocable trusts, will also include pour-over wills.

Initial staffing of the new law firm includes 10 attorneys and 13 support staff. All TuckerAllen attorneys have a minimum of five years of practice experience and were hired externally – no Lewis Rice attorneys are joining the TuckerAllen team. Tom Erb serves as the Executive Chairman, and Mary Elizabeth Coleman serves as the CEO of TuckerAllen.

The Estate Planning Group of Lewis Rice will remain wholly intact, continuing to operate "business as usual" – providing sophisticated estate planning services to clients with more complex estate planning needs.

About TuckerAllen
