Biography

Jennifer M. Johnson is a member in the Kansas City office of Lewis Rice. Her practice focuses primarily on real estate and transactional matters. Jennifer represents national and local clients with regards to real estate acquisitions, sale and lease transactions, mortgage and mezzanine financing, and negotiating and funding joint venture agreements.

Prior to joining Lewis Rice, Jennifer practiced at Polsinelli PC.

Representative Transactions

Jennifer represented a large development company and its affiliates in various New York City-based and national real estate transactions, often in coordination with condominium, zoning, or other specialty counsel, including:

  • the sale and leasing of commercial condominium buildings and commercial units
  • the assemblage of properties and air rights at various sites in New York City that were, or are intended to be, ultimately combined for construction of large new developments
  • the drafting and negotiation of joint venture agreements for equity investments in ongoing and completed development projects
  • the negotiation of complicated title insurance clearance matters
  • the negotiation of mezzanine, acquisition, and construction financing
  • the negotiation of refinancing transactions
  • the negotiation and closing of transactions involving large real estate portfolios
