David W. Sweeney Represents Developers in North St. Louis Marina Project

Lewis Rice member David W. Sweeney lobbied on behalf of developers of a proposed $323 million redevelopment project along the Mississippi River in North St. Louis. The proposed legislation faced some public opposition and concerns from members of the Board of Aldermen during multiple Transportation Commerce committee meetings. On Friday, November 18, the Board of Aldermen overwhelmingly passed legislation to help finance the project, which includes a marina complex with hotels, restaurants, and an indoor waterpark. The formation of a transportation development district and a community improvement district will facilitate charging sales taxes within the site, located off Riverview Drive.
