He has more than 18 years of experience working as both a senior relationship manager and senior wealth strategist for ultra-high net worth families, and has founded a national strategic wealth planning group and regional multifamily office. John has extensive expertise in: strategic wealth transfer planning; sophisticated income tax planning, such as partnership income tax and state income tax elimination planning; hedging and derivative based planning; and single stock concentration planning (equity risk management planning).
Mike is Co-Chair of the Estate Planning & Probate Department at the St. Louis, Missouri office of Lewis Rice LLC. He is an originator of the estate planning strategy of sale to a defective trust for an installment note, which is now used by estate planners nationally. Mike has been elected to the Estate Planning Hall of Fame® and has been awarded the Accredited Estate Planner® (Distinguished) designation by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. Prior to joining Lewis Rice, Mike served as a law clerk to the Hon. William H. Webster, then U.S. District Judge, Eastern District of Missouri, subsequently Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and later the Central Intelligence Agency.
