Bridget Hoy, Member

Lewis Rice attorneys Bridget G. Hoy and Jerina D. Phillips have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Women Lawyers' Association (WLA) of Greater St. Louis. Bridget, a member of the Litigation Department, was installed as President-Elect. This election puts her in line to be President for the organization's 40^th Anniversary. Jerina, an associate in the Litigation Department, was installed as Board Member at Large. Originated to support and promote women lawyers in all of their endeavors, the WLA strives to advance women in the legal profession, promote diversity, equality, and justice within the legal system, and improve the status of women in the community.

Bridget is a long-standing member of the WLA, having formerly served two years as Treasurer, one year as a Board Member-at-Large, and several years co-chairing the Scholarship Committee. In her practice, she gives relationship-based, passionate representation to plaintiffs and defendants, individuals and companies, in all types of business-related disputes and intellectual property matters. She regularly navigates her clients through contract, consumer fraud, personal injury, trademark, patent, and other legal issues to successful outcomes.

Jerina has experience in commercial and civil litigation, and she has an extensive background clerking and interning in federal and state court systems as well as several legal organizations in the state of Missouri. She served on the Black Law Students' Executive Board in various capacities, including as Secretary. She also received the Linda J. Murphy Scholarship from the WLA. Ms. Phillips served as Member-at-Large for the Mound City Bar Association from 2013-2014 and as Law Student Education Chair from 2014-2015. In 2014, the American Bar Association named her one of its Young Lawyers Division Scholars, an award given to individuals dedicated to professional development and to increasing diversity in the legal profession.
