Biography
Austin R. Schorfheide is an associate in the Estate Planning Department of Lewis Rice, where he advises clients on estate and gift tax matters. Austin regularly drafts state and federal estate and gift tax returns and manages estate administrations from intake to closing. He has experience dealing with complex estate tax issues, including tax deferral for qualified family-owned businesses and special use valuation for farm real estate. Austin's attention to detail and knowledge of highly-regulated family-owned businesses make him a valuable asset to clients navigating estate tax complexities.
