The real estate finance and lending practice at Lewis, Rice & Fingersh is broad in scope and supports every aspect of our real estate practice. We represent borrowers and lenders in a wide variety of real estate financings, including acquisition, development, construction, permanent and mezzanine financings involving virtually every type of property use – land acquisition, multi-family, condominium, hotel, office, and retail space. We frequently represent out-of-state lenders by providing local expertise for loans made in Kansas, Illinois and Missouri. We also have significant experience in participation, multiple-lender and intercreditor agreements.
In addition to traditional financings, our real estate finance and lending group has extensive experience in real estate loan workouts and restructurings and assists other practice areas in litigation and bankruptcy matters involving the financing of real estate assets. Our expertise affords the lender the skillful review of all underlying documents and title matters from the perspective of an eventual owner.
