The Firm’s litigation department regularly advises a broad spectrum of clients through the litigation process, from discovery to resolution by settlement or trial. We represent clients in all types of commercial disputes, at all levels of complexity, including claims brought under general contract law, business tort law, federal and state employment statutes and theories, insurance policies, securities laws, intellectual property laws, environmental laws, maritime laws, antitrust theories, lender liability, products liability, professional liability and class action representations.

We have extensive skill in complex litigation, which often requires in-depth review and analysis of thousands of documents and records. We maintain a well-trained support staff, including paralegals, secretaries and a litigation technology staff, trained in the use of computers and computer software. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, information can be economically and efficiently assimilated, catalogued and transmitted to and from our clients and co-counsel. Utilizing sophisticated software also ensures a professional trial presentation.

The Firm has considerable experience in monitoring all types of litigation nationally on behalf of its clients. It is approved by many insurance carriers for the defense of their insureds.

In advising clients regarding proposed or threatened litigation, we take advantage of our extensive experience in the courtroom. We also regularly explore alternatives to traditional litigation, such as arbitration and mediation, as we believe that these strategies often serve the best interest of our clients. When necessary, our appellate practice group, consisting of former appellate clerks, represents clients in federal and state appellate courts across the nation.
