Our client base has included major publishing and
electronic media entities, as well as many independently
owned media companies including print and broadcast
companies, news and entertainment companies, music
publishers and electronic information providers and users.
The areas of practice include, among others,
prepublication review, advertising acceptance review,
defamation and privacy litigation, newsgathering and
access litigation, news gatherers’ privilege, copyright
and trademark registration and copyright and trademark
litigation, author/publisher relations, talent contracts
and related First Amendment matters.
We provide counsel, negotiate and draft agreements
for content creators, content providers and content users,
free lance agreements and employment agreements.
Our practice focuses on traditional media and new
technologies and includes all modes of content delivery.
In addition, our lawyers handle labor, employment,
corporate and securities and tax issues related to media
companies.
Attorneys for the Firm participate in national seminars
dealing with media law and draft treatises on various
areas of media law. A member of the Firm is a member of
the steering committee of the Media Law Resource Center in
New York, and the Firm is a member of the Defense Council
Section of the MLRC.
