 Carr Elected to ACREL Board of Governors

     William E. Carr has been elected to the Board of Governors of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), for a three year term beginning January 1, 2006.  Carr, Managing Member of the Kansas City office of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, was elected to membership in ACREL in 1990 and has served on various committees, including most recently as Chairman of its Leasing Committee. 

     ACREL, founded in 1978, is a non-profit organization composed of more than 850 lawyers who have gained national distinction in the practice of real estate law.  Admission to the College is by invitation following a rigorous selection procedure.  The national legal group devotes its efforts to improving the practice of real estate law and enhancing the professional knowledge of its members.  The College also has taken positions regarding legislation, filed amicus curiae briefs in cases involving real estate issues, and participated in public service projects.
