Larry L. Deskins Recognized as a 2016 Legal Legend by Mound City Bar Association
March 23, 2016On Wednesday, March 23, Mound City Bar Association (MCBA) honored Lewis Rice member Larry L. Deskins and the Honorable Jimmie M. Edwards with the 2016 Legal Legends Award. The award pays homage to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the St. Louis legal profession or who have been historical supporters of African American attorneys.
MCBA is one of the oldest African American bar associations west of the Mississippi River. It strives to advance the professional interest of its members and improve the administration of justice.
Larry practices in the Corporate Department at Lewis Rice, representing corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and individuals across a range of industries including auto supply, food and beverage, gaming, manufacturing, and service companies. He is one of the first, if not the first, African American attorney to be elevated to the rank of full equity partner at a major law firm in St. Louis.
