Kirk A. Damman Appointed Chairman of the Business Retention and Expansion Committee of the Economic Development Partnership

Lewis Rice member Kirk A. Damman was appointed Chairman of the Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Committee of the Economic Development Partnership on August 31, 2016. Kirk has been involved with the committee for almost five years, planning and participating in meetings and BRE functions. Notably, he pushed for and supported the St. Louis startup and entrepreneur community, which he'll continue to advocate for as Chairman.

The BRE Committee is made up of representatives from the Economic Development Partnership, St. Louis County Executive's office, and business and community representatives. The committee provides additional infrastructure to keep on track with the St. Louis region's economic development success.

Kirk's intellectual property practice focuses heavily on helping startups and growing companies begin to manage, license, and gain value from their intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets) as well as obtain protection for their most important ideas and products. With a degree in physics and licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for more than 10 years, he works with clients whose products are as diverse as circuit and electrical designs, medical devices, computer software and Internet, heavy equipment and manufacturing, and more.
