Lewis Rice attorneys Jeremy P. Brummond and Patrick J. Thornton discuss the recent revisions of the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) in their article, "The Most Popular Construction Contract Document Gets a Makeover: A Summary of Key Revisions to the AIA A201" in the St. Louis Bar Journal. Some of the changes are the result of rulings and decisions over the last decade, and others are practical attempts to conform to modern trends and concerns in construction.

Jeremy practices in the Litigation Department and focuses his practice on engineering and construction. His clients include property owners, engineers, general contractors, and specialty contractors. Jeremy counsels clients in contract negotiation and drafting, and he frequently represents such clients in construction-related litigation including cases involving claimed construction defects, delay and lost productivity, and mechanic's lien and payment bond claims.

Patrick's practice focuses primarily on litigation matters within the construction industry. He prosecutes and defends matters involving mechanic's liens, breaches of contract, and numerous tort theories. Patrick represents clients of many sizes, including individuals, small businesses, limited partnerships, homeowners associations, municipalities, and large private companies.
