Duane L. Coleman concentrates his litigation practice on complex business disputes in both federal and state courts as well as in arbitrations. He has substantial experience in representing lenders, and frequently defends creditors in various types of adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court. Mr. Coleman litigates cases involving a diverse range of subject matters including intellectual property licenses, information technology contracts, supply agreements, insurance claims, and Civil RICO. He recently obtained a judgment in excess of $18 million for a client engaged in the global business of manufacturing and selling air-supported structures.
 
In addition to his trial work, Mr. Coleman’s practice involves regular appearances in state and federal appellate courts. He has successfully handled appeals in the Supreme Court of Missouri including Garr v. Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., a case of significance to secured lenders in Missouri.
 
Mr. Coleman is involved in the campaigns of numerous candidates for public office and served on a political action committee for former Congressman and U.S. Senator Jim Talent. He actively supports numerous organizations and charities including the American Parkinson Disease Association and the University of Iowa Alumni Association. Mr. Coleman is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
