Lewis Rice Represents Post Holdings, Inc. in Michael Foods Acquisition

Lewis Rice represented St. Louis-based Post Holdings, Inc. in its $2.45 billion acquisition of Michael Foods from its private equity owners Thomas H. Lee Partners and GS Capital Partners. The acquisition is Post's largest to date. Michael Foods is a distributor and processor of cheese, egg, and refrigerated potato products.

Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group members Tom W. Zook and John C. Bodnar led the team to complete the deal, along with associate Alfred J. Ludwig. Securities member Leonard J. Essig, Finance members Steven C. Drapekin and Mark C. Winings, Real Estate member Marisa L. Byram, and Tax Department Chairman Michael T. Donovan also advised on the Michael Foods purchase.
