Governor Appoints Ronald A. Norwood to Harris-Stowe Board of Regents

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has appointed Lewis Rice member Ronald A. Norwood to the Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU) Board of Regents. The appointment, confirmed by the State Senate, carries a four-year term. HSSU is a St. Louis institution offering degree programs in teacher education, business, and arts and sciences and is renowned for its attention and dedication to minority students. Last year, the Missouri Department of Higher Education ranked HSSU first in the state for degree production of African Americans in mathematics.

Ron's wide-ranging practice includes representing national and regional banks, mortgage companies, and other financial institutions in a myriad of commercial litigation matters. He also represents clients in the health care and manufacturing industries. He is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, serves as an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis, has served as a disciplinary hearing officer for the Missouri Supreme Court, and is a member of the American Law Institute. Ron serves as Chairman of the Lewis Rice Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
